Over the last two months or so I have been working on a strategic plan for Workers’ Group. I am now able to release a preliminary first draft of the plan, which is attached. It sets out why we exist, the challenges that we as a group will face into the future, and our plans and priorities.
Please note that this is a first draft only. I would welcome any feedback you may have.
The 5:01 service will proceed as usual on 26 April 2009—the Sunday of the Church Camp—at the normal place (Church building, Carlingford Road) and time.
The first baptism and new membership ceremony in 2009 will be held on 24 May 2009. If you are interested in getting baptised, please talk to your ministry group leader before 19 April 2009.
There will be an installation service for the two new elders & 2009 deacons on Sunday 18 January 2008 at around 10:40am. (the later part of Sunday service).

Dear all,
I have been meaning to provide this update for some time, but things have prevented me from now.
Planning is well underway for next year. Next year we will have four leaders: Matt, Ka-shu, Alan and me. Both last week and this week we will be going through some training sessions with Alex, so that we can all be prepared for next year.
Please pray for these new leaders, as leading groups is not an easy thing. Pray that God would use them for his purposes.
The annual general meeting for 2007/08 will be held on 30 November 2006, starting at 2:30 pm. The meeting will:
- consider the financial report and budget
- elect 5-7 deacons for 2009
- elect 1-2 additional elders
If you are a church member, you are very much encouraged to attend.
UPDATE: Due to an administrative oversight, the previous EGM resulted in a number of voting irregularities. The Board of Elders have determined that an additional EGM is necessary.
An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of members of the church has been called on 19 October 2008, starting at 10:30 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is to arrange for members for the Nominating Committee for the 2009 deacon elections.
