The Deacon Board has requested the English Ministry Committee (EMC) to consider and consult a number of proposed changes to 5:01 and EDJ upon the completion of the Church Building Project.

The main changes subject to this consultation are:

  1. a change of meeting time for 5:01, to 11 a.m., subject to the availability of preachers; and
  2. a number of structural changes to EDJ, including changing the meeting to 9 a.m.

The Deacon Board and the EMC appreciate your comments on these proposed changes before they are finalised.

Please read on for more details, including information on how to make comments.

The weekly program for EDJ can be download from the table below.

For some EDJ programmes, leaders' notes are also available for download.

Term 2, 2005

In EDJ this term, we will be looking at God's Big Picture, tracing the story-line of the Bible to see that although it's made up of different books by different authors spanning many years, it speaks of God's plan of salvation for all humanity and its fulfillment in Jesus. Throughout this series, we will learn about the Kingdom of God - God's people in God's place under God's rule and blessing.

Year 9 members of EDJ are invited to join Crossfire. The transition is made in anticipation to new fellowship group structures in 2005, and is made early due to members' familiarity with members of Crossfire.

EDJ

Every Day Jesus

EDJ is a Christian youth group for high school students (year 9–12) who are interested in learning about Jesus, discovering who God is, and digging into the Bible.

Our format is quite different from Sunday School - we have games, group discussions, food and fun, as well as a time to read the Bible with questions which allow the students to investigate and discover Christianity for themselves and also to challenge those who have been brought up through Sunday School on their walk with God.

EDJ is a Christian youth group for high school students (year 11+) and young university students who are interested in learning about Jesus.
