Welcome to the first Workers’ Group update for 2008. You will now find these sent on a irregular basis, usually when there is enough material for me to write one. You will get more regular updates from your group leaders as you meet.

Big Group - 29 March 2008 - 6:30 - Church

As hinted last year, we are going to have a series of “big groups” to get everybody together to know each other more. The first one will be on 29 March 2008, starting at 6:30 pm. Please make time in your diaries to attend.

Engage 2008

This year, the Engage Conference will be held on 29-31 August 2008, with Don Carson and Mark Driscoll as the speakers. As I suspect the conference will be very popular, your group leaders will soon ask you whether you are interested in coming so that we can get some ideas of numbers. Places are severely limited, although I think we have 8 guaranteed places.

Just before the conference, Mark will be doing a special talk on the Wednesday on What if we took Jesus seriously? Think about attending that as well.

I pray we will be able to encourage each other as we meet in our groups, especially as we see the Day drawing near.
