English Ministry Committee – Arrangements for Communication

Over the last two meetings, the English Ministry Committee (EMC) has been reviewing its communication practices. As a result of that process, the EMC notes the communication arrangements as follows.

First, the EMC will post a public version of the minutes of each meeting. The minutes will be available on the church noticeboard a few weeks after each meeting. The following material may be removed from public version of the minutes:

  • material which needs to be removed for legal reasons;
  • material relating to individuals;
  • material relating to disciplinary matters; and
  • material which may prejudice the safety of missionaries and other ministry workers.

The minutes may not necessarily attribute comments to individual members.

Second, archives of EMC minutes may be available on request. The principles described above will also apply to the release of archived EMC minutes. Requests should be addressed to Alex Young.

The arrangements will commence from the April 2008 meeting of the EMC.
