Who are the Uygurs?
The Uygurs are one of the world’s largest unreached people groups.
They are located in the North West of China in Xinjiang Province.
They consist of approx 7 million people.
Their offical religion is Islam.
There are less than 100 known Christians among the Uygurs and no known churches, and no known pastors.
They present one of the greatest challenges in seeking to reach the unreached.
Opportunities exist for people to go to the Uygurs as teachers, students, tourists or tentmakers.
